Impact of Save Million Trees org.
At the moment, we have a little over 500 people who have joined in to say no to junk mail. These people alone will help save over 1,600 trees over five years. Our goal is to have 300,000 people say no to junk mail - the impact will be enormous 1,050,000 trees saved over a 5-year period! Every person makes a difference! What kind of world do you want to leave your children? One full of trash and pollution? One with major problems with deforestation and global warming? Join in! Save Million Trees http://www.save1000000trees.org is a non-profit organization founded to help consumers reduce waste and the burden junk mail industry places on our environment. 100 million trees are cut every year for junk mail production. The production and transportation of junk mail produces more emission gases than 9 million cars. Our landfills are loaded with junk mail - most junk mail ends up in our landfills because of the inks that are used to produce it.
We, as mothers, care deeply about what kind of earth we leave our children - and want to do what we can to make sure your children will not be burdened with an overload of pollution, waste, and other problems we can easily reduce.
Save Million Trees was founded to show consumers how easy it is to make a long-lasting difference. One person who says no to junk mail will save 3.5 trees over 5 years. 10 people doing the same will save 35 trees. Our goal is to reach 300,000 people and help them to say no thanks to direct marketers, such as Bank of America, Geico, Chase, and different credit companies. 300,000 people who say no to junk mail save 1,050,000 trees in five years!
